Garden City

Stately Colonials and Tudor-style homes with manicured gardens line the tree-shaded avenues of Garden City, which has many amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. Several community parks provide green space along with sports facilities and a pool. Five LIRR stations serve the village, which also has a walkable shopping district along and around Seventh Avenue, with high-caliber restaurants and boutique shops. The 5.3-square-mile village is home to Roosevelt Field, a mega shopping mall, along with Museum Row, whose Long Island Children’s Museum and Cradle of Aviation Museum are among the highlights. The Garden City Welcoming Club hosts social events to help newcomers meet people.
