With lakes, canals, and the Great South Bay, Babylon is a water lover’s paradise. Babylon Village owns 440 boat berths, and the Town of Babylon offers oceanfront beaches. Adorned with antique lampposts and hanging flower baskets, Babylon’s walkable downtown has about 30 restaurants, along with mom-and-pop shops and the Argyle Theatre, a performing arts center with professional productions of Broadway shows, which recently reopened following a $3 million renovation. Perhaps Main Street’s most iconic spot is the 25-acre Argyle Lake, whose waterfalls are the backdrop of many wedding photos.
